What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Program Manager position at Head Injury Association?
The Head Injury Association is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping Traumatic Brain Injury Survivors and those with Developmental Disabilities. Our mission is to maximize potential and return those we support to the best possible quality of life. The Assistant Program Manager's primary responsibilities are to support the Program Manager with the oversight of the individuals and staff located at the group home setting. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise the medical counselor
- Administration of all aspects of the medical, health and psychiatric care of the Individuals we care for
- Working with the Program Manager and Nursing team for service implementation
- Assist the Program Manager in ensuring the program is in compliance with OPWDD regulations,
- Ensure the facility meets environmental, health and security standards,
- Provide guidance and assistance to staff
- Monitor the site to ensure it remains safe, secure and well-maintained.
- Maintain the weekly staff schedule
- Oversee internal house audits
- Reviews and approves staff notes
Job Requirements:
- 1 year of supervisory experience working with a Special Needs Population OR 2 years experience as a Direct Support Professional with Special Needs Population.
- High School Diploma required
- Valid New York Driver’s License in good standing
