The Head Injury Association is a rapidly growing prestigious not for profit Human Services Agency located on Long Island in Suffolk County. We have a proud history and been around since 1988. Our Agency provides services to the TBI, Developmentally Disabled and Autistic populations. We are looking for a full-time Behavior Specialist to work at our Group Homes and condominiums in Suffolk County. The primary responsibility of the Behavioral Specialist is the development, management and implementation of behavioral services to the individuals served. The Behavioral Specialist responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide behavioral support for consumers who require behavior management
- Completing individual behavior plans to include objectives, methodologies, revisions and initiation dates
- Assist with training staff on the proper implementation of plans
- Review records of all documented behaviors, including behavior monitoring sheets, baseline data sheets and progress notes as assessed through supervisory review and observation
- Assessing for trends and making revisions to plans accordingly
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Job Requirements:
- Master's degree in a clinical or treatment field of psychology, social work, school psychology, applied psychology or related human service field is required.
- Two years of experience working with the developmentally disabled and/or traumatic brain injury survivors.
- Must have a valid New York State driver's license.
- Required to carry agency phone

Pay: $55,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
