The Head Injury Association (HIA) was founded in 1988. We are a prestigious not-for-profit agency located in Suffolk County with a mission to maximize the potential of Traumatic Brain Injury survivor’s and those with developmental disabilities potential by providing the necessary residential and support programs to help them achieve four valued outcomes: Individualization, Independence, Integration and Productivity. The Head Injury Association is actively seeking Per diem RN’s to join our growing team.
Available Hours: This position will be floating between the agency houses in Suffolk and Eastern Nassau County. Hours are flexible!
Job Responsibilities:
- Completion of medication inventory
- Review MAR / Medical Flow Sheets for accuracy / completion
- Maintenance of medical records
- Assistance to the program in regards to any medical emergencies
- Maintenance of prescriptions
- Staff training on individual's specific medical protocols/care needs.
- Supervision/oversight of AMAP Staff.
Requirements:
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
- Valid and clean NYS Driver’s License
- At least two years of experience in with developmentally disabled and/or TBI population is preferred.
- Position also requires proficient computer skills, preferably knowledge of Microsoft Office
