Paraprofessionals needed for the Title IC Migrant Education Program summer school.
Dates of work: May 27th-29th- training/prep week
June 2nd-26th Monday through Thursday 36 hours/week
Bilingual applicants highly encouraged to apply. Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma/GED.
Job Duties:
- In cooperation with the Teacher, undertake assigned activities to carry out the goals and policies of the Migrant Education Program.
- Abide by Head Start Program standards of conduct for employees, including respect for and promotion of the unique identity of each participant; adherence to confidentiality policies; ensuring that no child is left alone or unsupervised; and using positive methods of child guidance.
- Assist the Teacher in the effective utilization of volunteers in the classroom.
- Work cooperatively with program directors, staff, volunteers, and parents.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean classroom by participating with other staff in shared housekeeping responsibilities.
- Model appropriate behavior for children to observe, particularly in connection with meals.
- Bus Monitor duties when needed. Drive a van route when needed.
