Job Summary

Head Well- Integrative Psychiatry & Wellness is seeking an experienced and resourceful IT Specialist to maintain a reliable and secure internal IT infrastructure and optimize processes and workflows for our team. This position is pivotal in creating our internal IT department and ensuring that all technology systems, hardware, software, and networks meet the clinic's operational needs.

This is a contract-to-permanent position, offering an opportunity to transition into a long-term role based on the successful completion of initial projects and overall performance.

Key Responsibilities Technology Management :

Add, configure and maintain hardware and software systems, including computers, printers, medical devices, and networking equipment as needed.
Oversee the clinic's electronic medical record (EMR) system and internal communication and data management software and ensure its optimal performance and security.

Help Desk Support :

Provide technical support to staff, addressing hardware, software, and network issues promptly.

Offer training and guidance on IT tools and systems to clinic staff.

System Maintenance :

Perform routine maintenance and updates for servers, workstations, and other IT assets.

Monitor system performance and implement improvements to ensure uptime and efficiency.

Network Security :

Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other data security protocols.

Manage firewalls, antivirus, and other cybersecurity tools to protect clinic data.

Vendor Coordination :

Act as the primary liaison with external IT vendors for specialized support or procurement.

Evaluate and recommend technology solutions that align with the clinic's goals.

Documentation and Planning :

Maintain accurate IT inventory, network diagrams, and system documentation.

Advise on the strategic direction of the clinic's IT systems and long-term infrastructure planning.

Qualifications Education and Certifications :

Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred; experience will be considered in place of degree if appropriate)

Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft Certified : Azure Fundamentals) are a plus.

Experience :

Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in IT support, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Familiarity with EMR systems, medical devices, and HIPAA compliance is desirable.

Skills :

Proficiency in Windows and Mac operating systems, network management, and troubleshooting.

Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and data protection.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.

Contract-to-Permanent Structure

This position begins as a contract role (e.g., 36 months) with a competitive hourly rate of $40$60 / hour, depending on experience.

Upon successful completion of initial projects (e.g., system and network setup analysis with and specific process improvements), the role may transition to a permanent part-time or full-time position with adjusted salary and benefits.
