About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to serve as an Individual Contributor in a full-time W2 position. This role requires a highly skilled data professional with 7 years of experience, who can independently design, develop, and optimize data solutions while working closely with Accounting & Finance (A&F) teams.

You will be responsible for building and automating financial data pipelines, developing dashboards and reporting tools, and solving complex data challenges for multiple clients. The position is 100% remote, offering flexible work arrangements and significant client-facing exposure.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to support financial data automation.
• Develop and automate dashboards and reports for financial and accounting teams to provide real-time insights.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for financial reporting and analysis.
• Work directly with finance and accounting teams to optimize financial data workflows and enhance reporting accuracy.
• Leverage both Microsoft and Google technology stacks to deliver customized data solutions.
• Create advanced dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Looker, and other reporting tools.
• Optimize financial data models and architectures to improve performance and scalability.
• Act as a client-facing SME (Subject Matter Expert) in financial data engineering and reporting solutions.
• Manage multiple client projects simultaneously, helping them address interim CFO and financial data needs.

What You Bring:

• 7 years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer, Lead Data Engineer, or similar role.
• Expertise in financial and accounting data, with experience in Accounting & Finance (A&F) environments.
• Strong ETL, data automation, and reporting skills, with a track record of optimizing financial workflows.
• Hands-on experience with dashboard and reporting tools, such as:
• Power BI (Microsoft)
• Looker (Google)
• Tableau or other BI tools
• Proficiency in both Microsoft (Azure, SQL Server, Power BI) and Google (BigQuery, Looker, Sheets, etc.) technology stacks.
• Advanced Python, SQL, and scripting skills for data transformation and automation.
• Experience with ERP integrations, financial datasets, and accounting software platforms.
• Strong problem-solving and consulting skills, with the ability to interact with executive-level stakeholders.
• Client-facing experience, with a proven ability to manage multiple client engagements.
