Overview:
This position has the overall responsibility for service delivery to homeless families at the overflow shelter with the ultimate objective of assisting families with achieving economic viability and stable housing.
Heading Home strives to serve all of our clients using trauma-informed engagement and service delivery. As an agency, we prioritize training and continuing education opportunities for all team members, including evidence-based techniques like motivational interviewing and verbal intervention. Our goal is to provide client-focused supports to each family and individual we serve in a collaborative and compassionate way.
Responsibilities / Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for all programing onsite provided by Heading Home staff and with partner organizations to address housing, income, legal, immigration, ESOL classes, education, transportation, recreational, and any other needs identified for clients.
- Responsible for coordinating with the local school district and DESE to assess how to support the school district with the impact on classrooms, space and see if there are ways to utilize the campus space in partnership with the school district.
- Responsible for staffing program through direct hires and temporary staffing agency. Main contact to staffing agency.
- Ensures the safety of the program/clients and ensures all safety policies and procedures are followed.
- Supervises staff and evaluates performance with guidance from the Senior Director of Emergency Overflow Shelter
- Oversees the delivery of client services, makes assessments of program impact and recommends program/policy changes.
- Performs all other reasonable on site/in person related duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Emergency Overflow Shelter
- Responsible for on-call duties as part of a rotation.

Work Environment
Office space within a shelter building; prolonged sitting at a desk and working on a computer, OR requires equal amounts of sitting and standing, must be able to climb stairs. The building is climate controlled with heat and air conditioning.
Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
