A day in the life...
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for a variety of tasks including circulating vendor invoices to the appropriate manager for approval and entering them in into accounting software upon receiving approval.
Key Accountabilities:
Calculate, compile, and review for accuracy and process invoices for payment, including check processing once cash flow manager approves.- Process high volume Accounts Payable invoices, recording transactions into the correct accounting period, and paying vendors within terms
- Ensure all vendor invoices are input in a timely manner to the appropriate expense account and company based on coding received.
- 3-way match (PO-Invoice-Receiver) must match the disbursement record
- Vendor maintenance; maintain up-to-date compliance documents (COI, W-9, etc.)
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions to vendor statements.
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system. Ensure all backup is attached to all accounts payable transactions within the accounting software.
The ideal candidate will have:
1-3 years of high-volume Accounts Payable experience; preferably within the hospitality industry.- High School Diploma or equivalent. A college degree is preferred.
- Have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to seamlessly perform and prioritize multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
