Headlands Preparatory School has an opening for a Math/Science Teacher (6th-12th) to join our campus in Sausalito beginning immediately. Headlands Preparatory School is a small private school offering one-to-one and small group classes for middle-school and high-school students. We use a Mastery Learning model to ensure that all students are successful and offer UC-approved courses including honors and AP classes. We are located in a beautiful waterside location in Sausalito.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction to students in a 1:1 and/or small group setting.
- Evaluate student progress in courses taught, keep appropriate records, and report student progress to proper administrators.
- With the assistance of the administrative team, identify student needs and work toward fulfilling those needs.
- Create and maintain a suitable learning environment.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain professional competence through participation in professional development opportunities.
- Participate in departmental activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (a teaching credential is a plus, though not required)
- Teaching/tutoring experience
- Enthusiasm and positive spirit.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with students with learning differences (ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, etc.)
