Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area for a Superintendent at Headley Construction. Full-time position with work to be performed on the construction site in the field; remote work is not possible for the duties associated with this position, nor is part-time work.
The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing daily construction activities, managing subcontractors, coordinating with project managers, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining project schedules and budgets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop and maintain safe, productive and professional job sites that serve both clients and trade partners.
· Ensure projects are clean and well organized.
· Ensure professionalism and clear communication is held on project sites.
· Ensure project is delivered on time and within budget.
· Properly manage project site logistics to effectively manage a jobsite.
· Hold weekly safety and coordination meetings.
· Properly document job progress and safety reports.
· Collaborate with senior management to develop project objectives and strategies.
· Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project specifications and quality standards are met.
· Conduct thorough vendor, subcontractor, and supplier evaluations and selection processes.
· Plan and coordinate building inspectors and quality control inspectors at critical phases and obtain approvals from Owner, Architects, Engineers, Independent Testing Agencies and Governmental Inspectors
· Identify and address project issues, conflicts, and challenges in a timely and effective manner.
· Implement and enforce project quality control and assurance measures.
· Ensure client goals and needs are meet through duration of project.
· Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, permit requirements, and contractual obligations.
· Provide leadership and direction to project team to achieve project goals effectively and efficiently.
· Communicate regularly with clients, stakeholders, and project team members to keep them informed of project status and updates.
Qualifications
- 5 Years experience in ground up commercial construction and site supervision
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- OSHA certification (30 HR)
