What are the responsibilities and job description for the Honda Automotive Salesperson position at Headquarter Honda?
The primary job duties include developing a relationship with customers, discussing what they are looking for in a vehicle, showing them different cars on our sales floor that offer features they want and need, then explaining pricing and financing options. The goal is to provide a positive sales experience and ensure the customer is happy with their purchase. When not working with walk-in customers, Sales representatives develop and pursue leads.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Factory back training regarding the product line and in house sales process training.
- Follow the proven steps of the Sales Process from Greeting to Delivery and more!
- Answer customers questions and inquiries with honesty and transparency.
- Complete quotes, return email/voicemail, other administrative functions and processing transaction paperwork
- Generate and maintain above District Customer Satisfaction Scores
- Follow up with existing and potential customers to generate leads and close sales
The ideal candidate must be coachable and have a strong desire to succeed. Our automotive sales representatives come from a variety of backgrounds ranging from entry level to career changers or experienced sales. Success does not hinge on precise work experience although experience in automotive sales is a huge plus.
- Preferred prior experience as a sales representative in either automotive sales, inside sales, outside sales, retail sales or telemarketing sales
- Outgoing personality with the ability to develop and maintain trusting relationships
- Basic math skills and computer software and internet proficiency is a plus
- Excellent verbal/written communication, strong negotiation and presentation skills
- Valid Drivers License and clean driving record
- Adhere to the companys dress code policy
- Adhere to the Tobacco-Free Campus Policy
- Must be on time and flexible with a schedule that including evenings, weekends and holidays
