Primary Location: Owego, NY
At HeaHea LLC, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of adolescents and young adults struggling with eating disorders. You will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to create and implement personalized treatment plans, utilizing a holistic approach that integrates mental health care with physical health needs. Your expertise will be essential in providing counseling and support to patients and their families as they navigate their recovery journey.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling to patients, utilizing various therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Manage crises and provide support for patients with PTSD, addiction, and developmental disabilities.
Qualifications
- Medical degree with specialization in psychiatry or psychiatric nursing
- Post-residency experience in patient care and assessment
- Proficiency in psychotherapy techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation
- Familiarity with mental health counseling, crisis management, and addiction counseling
- Skills in pediatric psychiatry and working with developmental disabilities are a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $125.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 6 per week
