POSITION SUMMARY:
All Together Recovery LLC (ATR), provides multiple levels of ASAM SUD/BHSO care, including recovery housing, education, job training, employment, and other recovery related extensions to the family in for-profit and non-profit environments. The Client Support Shift Lead will provide management to a variety of certified, paraprofessional, and ancillary staff. This includes a variety of peer support cross-trained client support staff on their assigned shift. They will function as a role model for all client support and program participants. They must exhibit competency in recovery dynamics and the use of coping skills. They serve as a senior client advocate for all ATR entities.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIRMENTS:
- Must have a valid Kentucky driver’s license.
- Participate in all necessary staff meetings.
- Be proficient in all ATR rules, policies, and procedures.
- Model servant leadership.
- Operate with integrity in all circumstances.
- Communicate effectively and be responsive to verbal and written correspondences.
- Oversee all scheduling, evaluations, and disciplinary actions for all subordinate members.
- Knowledge of local resources, the recovery community and service access.
- If necessary, fill in for team members who are absent to cover APSS billable services.
- Maintain all pertinent ATR records as per policy and regulations.
- Maintain all required personal certifications and required training.
- Ability to educate and coach clients in all aspects of client house rules.
- Perform 30-minute walk throughs and head counts. To be performed daily.
- Maintain daily updated dorm list.
- Ensure that all clients are where they are supposed to always be.
- Be the leader on shift, provide support for all client support staff on shift and maintain regular communication with immediate supervisor about any issues that may arise
- Ensure shift reports are completed daily, and the previous shift report is filed accordingly after review.
- Administer drug screens, room checks, body and belongings search as needed.
SHIFT ADMISSIONS DUTIES
- Collaborates with admissions coordinator/intake team to contact all referrals in a timely manner.
- Provide general information on services offered by ATR programs.
- Collect via EHR client general information regarding mental health, current crisis level, payment options, legal status, and other relevant information.
- Identifies factors which suggest the referral may be better served by another agency and confirm with admissions coordinator. Always providing warm handoffs to connecting agencies.
- Scheduling applicant.
- Process paperwork and maintain records.
- Provide needed documentation to enroll clients into treatment.
- Coordination of benefits verification, identification of financial guarantor and payment arrangements.
- Ensuring client, family, and referent satisfaction with the admissions process.
- Internal communication with medical and program managers (involving CEO and clinical program manager as needed) to ensure admissions are appropriate.
- Pre-admissions communication with client, family members, and referents.
- Coordinates and ensures timely processing of program documents including referrals, intakes, and discharge summaries.
- Engages in appropriate written and verbal communication with families, courts, insurance companies, case managers and treatment team.
- Entering assessment and admissions data into EHR.
- Ensuring admissions to the facility occur in a timely and seamless manner.
- On call nights and weekends.
- Initiate and maintain relationships with external community partners.
- Complete projects and tasks as assigned by admissions coordinator in sole reference to duties in admissions while on shift.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
All members of the Client Support shift team and applicable transportation and assistant kitchen staff on respective shift.
BACKGROUND/EDUCATION:
- Current APSS certification.
- 1 year of previous experience as an APSS.
- High school diploma or GED.
- History of leading a team of three or more team members.
- Preferred 12 months working in SUD treatment field.
- Shift differential for 2nd, 3rd, and weekend shifts.
