We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Dining Services Director to oversee and lead the culinary operations of our senior living community. As the Dining Services Director, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all aspects of our food service program to ensure exceptional dining experiences for our residents. Your leadership, culinary expertise, and commitment to quality will contribute to the overall satisfaction and well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop nutritious, flavorful, and well-balanced menus that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of senior residents.
- Oversee all aspects of the food service program, including meal preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and food quality.
- Record and maintain adequate food inventory and complete reports as required by Pacifica.
- Order food and kitchen supplies from approved vendors and maintain good communication with all vendors.
- Conduct regular inspections, implement proper hygiene practices, and maintain necessary documentation.
- Train, manage and supervise food service staff, practice time management techniques, and ensure the highest possible customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Food Handler’s Safety Card is required.
- At least 3 years of managerial experience.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to work well with all people, particularly the elderly.
Work schedule:
- Weekdays and weekends as needed.
