What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cheerleader Advisor - Healdsburg High School position at Healdsburg Unified?
Healdsburg High School is looking for a Cheerleader Advisor for the 2025-2026 school year. The role of the Cheerleader Advisor is to teach the cheerleader squad to promote school spirit and encouragement of athletic teams and school events.
Responsibilities include: Scheduling Tryouts, organizing practices, participating in fall and winter sports season home games (football and basketball) and possibly attend other school sponsored events.
Recently, HUSD added Cheer as a Winter sport so they could participate in competitions. This could be a possibility again if the new coach and squad are ready. JOB SUMMARY:
Knowledge of fundamentals and coaching techniques; ability to motivate student; work with parents and community; organizational and leadership skills; and commitment to development of sportsmanship in players and coaches.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma, CPR certificate, First Aid Certificate, Tuberculosis Test (negative results) and a valid Class C California Driver’s License. Activity Supervisor Clearance Certificate (ASCC). CIF Certificate required for HHS level coaches.
HUSD Fingerprint Live Scan and subsequent receipt of Department of Justice clearance required post offer/pre-employment.
