Job Overview:
As a CPR Instructor, you'll be responsible for teaching students how to perform CPR and use AEDs. You will prepare lesson plans, demonstrate techniques, and evaluate students to ensure proficiency in Adult/Pediatric CPR, AED usage, and First Aid. Classes will be conducted in various settings, including offices, schools, community centers, hospitals, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach CPR, AED, and Basic Life Support (BLS) techniques in diverse environments such as offices, schools, hospitals, and other community spaces.
- Prepare and deliver lesson plans that align with American Red Cross guidelines.
- Demonstrate CPR and AED techniques, ensuring students understand and can perform the skills confidently.
- Evaluate students’ performance and provide constructive feedback to ensure proficiency in Adult/Pediatric CPR, AED, and First Aid.
- Follow all American Red Cross teaching methods and content requirements.
Requirements:
- Certification: CPR Instructor certification from an accredited organization (e.g., American Red Cross, American Heart Association).
- Expertise: Strong knowledge of CPR, AED, and Basic Life Support techniques and best practices.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Training Ability: Ability to prepare and deliver effective, engaging training sessions.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Organization: Strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Equipment: Must have your own equipment, including 4 adult manikins, 4 infant manikins, and 4 AED training devices.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 1 years of teaching experience (preferred).
- Ability to Commute: Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel throughout Southeastern PA, NJ, DE, and MD for teaching assignments.
