Job Summary:
The Wilmington Comprehensive Community Clinic (WCCC) Program Manager oversees the daily clinic operations as well as our sexual assault response team (SART). The candidate is a registered nurse (RN) and bilingual Spanish speaker. They will report to the Chief Operating Officer and work closely with the staff, law enforcement, and community partners to ensure the successful delivery of trauma-informed healthcare services.
The Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing the scheduling and coordination of services for our Wilmington Comprehensive Community Clinic (WCCC) that provides multidisciplinary healthcare services to members of the community. The successful candidate will work closely with medical and clinical personnel and community partners to ensure the smooth functioning of the clinic, including managing appointments, coordinating SART services, managing supplies and equipment, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee services for patients at WCCC.
- Collaborate with medical personnel and community partners to ensure the provision of high-quality healthcare services to survivors of abuse and/or assault.
- Implement and ensure compliance with the Los Angeles County SART Center Standards.
- Ensure that a chairperson is designated for the Multidisciplinary SART Center Committee.
- Ensure that a QI process is in place to identify, review, and correct deficiencies in the delivery of care to the sexual assault victim.
- Ensure that appropriate sexual assault education programs are provided to the SART Center personnel in collaboration with HTY Medical Director.
- Maintain records of completed continuing education by SART Center personnel.
- Liaison with other SART Centers, EMS providers, EMS Agency, community hospitals, local health clinics, law enforcement, local crime laboratory, rape crisis advocacy response groups, DA’s Office and forensic examiners as needed.
- Serve as a contact person for the EMS Agency and be available upon request to respond to County business regarding SART Center issues.
- Ensures the EMS Agency is notified, in writing, when there is a personnel change of the SART Center Medical Director or SART Center Program Director.
- Ensure compliance with SART Center Standards and EMS Agency policies and procedures related to the care of sexual assault/abuse victims.
- Ensure that the QI reports are presented at applicable SART or hospital committees (e.g.: ED, hospital-wide QI, and/or pediatric committees).
- Ensures that all SART Center policies and procedures are reviewed at least annually with multidisciplinary committee approval at least triennial.
- Ensure the timely and accurate documentation of medical services provided, including medical histories, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the Clinic.
- Coordinate transportation services for survivors to attend medical or legal appointments.
- Participate in community outreach and education activities to raise awareness about the clinic and its services.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the program and make recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare and submit reports to funders, stakeholders, and governing bodies as required.
- Maintain open communication with appropriate staff regarding the completion of projects and any needs for additional work.
- May assist with grant or proposal writing as appropriate to the objectives and funding nature of the program; may participate in other fundraising activities.
- Communicate any problems or concerns with group members or group dynamics to the COO in a timely manner.
- Adherence to policies related to HIPAA, confidentiality, information sharing, and appropriate use of agency client databases.
- Facilitates strategic planning processes, policy and legislative analyses, data collection and reporting, benchmarking, process improvement, and other work related to domestic and sexual violence prevention, policy, and program management.
- Manages relationships with county agencies, law enforcement, district attorney’s, community nonprofits, civic groups, and residents to ensure a coordinated community response to domestic and sexual violence.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual Spanish
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, counseling, or a related field.
- Registered Nurse currently licensed to practice in the State of California.
- Completion of the initial SAFE Course for adult/adolescent and pediatrics, minimum of 40 hours curriculum, in compliance with the medical forensic examination standards set forth in the Penal Code 13823.11.
- Completion of eight hours of Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) approved continuing education (CE) related to sexual assault forensic examinations every three years.
- Forty-hour Domestic Violence Certificate or willingness to earn certificate.
- 3-5 years of experience in program coordination or administration.
- Experience working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault or other vulnerable populations.
- Knowledge and experience in domestic violence, leadership and management, and fund development.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Google Suit, Microsoft Office, Adobe, Canva, and electronic medical records systems.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check and fingerprint clearance.
- If a survivor, at least two years out of the relationship.
This is a full-time position at 36 hours in the office.
Schedule: Monday to Friday; some weekend availability
Annual salary range is $95,000 - $108,000
