Healix Infusion Therapy is seeking a full-time Clinical Pharmacist to join our Corporate Clinical Review Team.
As a Corporate Clinical Review Pharmacist with Healix, you will have the opportunity to work as a key member of the Clinical Review Team to support site Pharmacists and Nurses, Physician clients, and multiple departments within the company by utilizing our drug knowledge to review medication orders for medical criteria and to facilitate prior authorization and approvals for the Business Office. This individual will report directly to the Clinical Review and Research Regulatory Affairs Manager and be a key contributor to the company’s specialized drug therapy knowledge base. This is an excellent opportunity for pharmacists who want a more clinical role in the outpatient setting.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Reviews medication orders and medical record documentation and evaluates medical criteria in accordance with payor policies to facilitate prior authorizations and approvals.
- Communicates consistently and frequently to sites and staff regarding patient referral status, documentation needed and/or order clarifications.
- Manages the daily referral workload for clinical reviews, ensuring all tasks are completed each day.
- Be current and proficient in understanding and use of all applicable drug therapies utilized within the company.
- Creates Letter of Medical Necessity for referring physicians as needed to obtain authorizations or to overturn denials.
- Assists in review of new drug therapies and providing drug information to site staff as needed.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
- 2-3 years of clinical pharmacy and/or infusion experience
- Insurance prior authorization experience a plus
- Computer proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software, electronic medical record systems, and general software systems
Highly Valued Assets Include:
- Specific knowledge and clinical experience with a wide variety of medications, including biologics and infusion medications, and relevant diseases
- Strong analytical and communication skills required
- Self-motivated and able to multitask effectively
- Excellent teamwork skills required
