Summary
We are seeking a Branch Manager to join our dynamic team at Health Advantage Credit Union. Working as part of a team, the Branch Manager is directly responsible for overseeing the strategies and initiatives designed to increase membership and product penetration, represents the credit union at community and member events, and business development activities, builds and maintains strong client relationships and establishes new partnerships.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage direct reports to maximize productivity, efficiency, and the potential of the human assets of the company, including directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, training, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, policies and work rules.
-Appraise performance and provide recommendations for staff compensation, promotion, and termination, as appropriate.
- Ensures all branch transactions are balanced at the close of each day. Oversees individual accountability for the handling of cash and assists in resolving balancing problems.
- Ensures members' requests and questions are promptly resolved. Handles members' complaints.
- Ensures members are informed of Company services and policies. Counsels members regarding their financial needs and services requested.
- Ensures branch personnel are well trained in all phases of their respective jobs. Completes orientation of new employees in overall branch procedures. Actively participates in cross-training personnel and assures staff is kept abreast of all products and services. Conducts security training.
- Monitor office activity, including number of transactions, loan volume, sales volume, etc. Ensures the branch achieves assigned goals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve internal and external inquiries.
- Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of all Credit Union products and services in order to efficiently train and motivate staff to cross-sell.
- Primary Security Officer for the branch. Conducts required security meetings with staff to ensure compliance. Opens and closes the building in accordance with set hours and tests security equipment quarterly.
- Is responsible for maintaining office building, grounds, equipment and fixtures of the branch.
- Maintain open communication between branch and management.
- Formulate recommendations and provide feedback to management regarding operational policies and procedures.
- Schedule, supervise and motivate branch staff in an effort to maintain optimal member service satisfaction levels.
- May perform duties of a member service representative, teller or other operational position on an as needed basis.
- Actively cross sell Credit Union products and services as related to member’s needs, to ensure consistently meeting Solutions goals.
