About the Role

Content moderators perform the crucial service of evaluating user-generated content for its potential to harm others.


The On-site Trust and Safety Counselor establishes a trusted relationship with the personnel they support through one-on-one and group support sessions, as well as ongoing wellness programming, specifically designed to improve resiliency and mitigate the impact of viewing disturbing images and content. Our counselors compassionately help employees with personal, family and work-related concerns, so they feel more supported and able to perform at their best in all aspects of their lives.

Hours/Shift:

8pm-8:30am MST


Rotating schedule:

Week 1: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday

Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday


Pay Rate:

$40/HR


Job Summary

Conduct scheduled and on-demand brief support sessions to support client needs

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Records system, adhering to best practices
  • Uphold client confidentiality in accordance with Health Advocate policies
  • Provide short-term, solution focused wellbeing and therapeutic interventions as indicated
  • Provides consultation, recommendations, referrals to EAP services, and other forms of assistance as appropriate.
  • Provides members with appropriate referral based on clinical needs and insurance when clinically appropriate.


Lead wellness and group support sessions

  • Provide workshops or training, as may be requested.
  • Work closely with Wellness Site Lead and Program Manager to develop and deliver engaging workshops and training sessions as requested
  • Assists in providing access to wellness resources.


Provide staff assistance for onsite personnel

  • Assess crisis situations; provide intervention for crisis, urgent or critical event response where needed and appropriate.
  • Provide consultation to client leadership on concerns about employee safety or workplace behavior.
  • Provide new hire check in sessions and support offboarding of team members.


Collaborates with colleagues and others to provide excellent service and experience, and to support professional operations and environment

  • Participate in regular supervision and consultation as needed /appropriate to any case.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and timely arrival; being ready to work as scheduled.
  • Maintain licenses in good standing, and related credentials where applicable.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned by Program Manager.
  • Meet objectives for service quality.
  • Flexibility of work hours to deliver services to other staff /shifts or provide DEM support as may be needed.


Minimum Requirements

  • Education: A master’s degree in a behavioral health discipline required (social work, counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy).
  • Professional License: Current state licensure (LMSW/LCSW, AMFT/LMFT, LPC-A/LCPC).
  • A minimum of three years graduate level experience, providing direct service in a behavioral health setting including assessment and case management.
  • Experience with crisis management and short-term clinical interventions.
  • Experience providing presentations, consultation with team and company leaders and brief interventions is preferred.
  • English language proficiency is required.

Physical Requirements:

This position is primarily sedentary, requiring prolonged sitting while performing administrative tasks. The role involves extensive use of a computer for typing, using a mouse, and reading information on a screen for extended periods. Additionally, frequent phone use is required for communication with team members, clients, or external parties. Essential physical functions include fingering, grasping, pulling hand over hand, and repetitive motions, all necessary for navigating software, entering data, and interacting with electronic documents.

Mental and Cognitive Requirements:

The role demands strong concentration and attention to detail to complete tasks accurately. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are necessary to address issues that may arise in day-to-day duties. Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for responding to inquiries and collaborating with others.

Work Environment:

This position is typically remote, requiring a home office environment with appropriate lighting, a computer, and phone access. The workspace should be free from distractions to ensure effective focus and productivity during work hours.
