Job Description
We are seeking a Psychiatrist to work at our facility in Soledad, California.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, treat, and document psychiatric patients' treatment on a continual basis according to policy, procedures, and laws.
- Provide diagnoses after assessment, prescribe medications, monitor patients' progress, including laboratory values and special procedures with appropriate follow-up or referrals as indicated.
- Dictate admission summaries, discharge summaries, and other necessary documentation.
- Communicate with patients' relatives, healthcare proxies, or legal clients to inform them of the patient's condition and treatment recommendations.
- Collaborate with community psychiatrists to enhance patient care, facilitate patient discharge, and respond to questions regarding patient management.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Psychiatrist within the last 36 months.
- Ability to build rapport with patients and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong leadership qualities.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and a valid CPR card from the American Heart Association.
- Up-to-date credentials in the state of California.
