Health Advocates is seeking a Coordinator for a client hospital in Torrance, CA and Business Office Site in Alhambra, CA.
Job Summary
Under direct supervision provides moderately complex clerical support within an assigned department. Job responsibilities include : receive incoming mail, respond to inquiries in writing, by phone, email, and fax, sort and distribute correspondence and reports, generate computer reports, enter data into a paperless entry system, prepare email requests, and gather documents, retrieve and file correspondence, scanning, faxing, copying, distribute various reports and data, maintain and update various department logs and journals, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required
- 1-2 years of experience performing moderately complex general office assignments in a government, private, or public service organization
- Previous experience generating computer reports utilizing Microsoft Excel
- Must have intermediate Excel skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all staff members and clients
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and with others
- Strong data entry skills
- Ability to adapt and manage change in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to type 30 wpm
- Intermittent travel required between the two locations
- Possess a valid California Drivers Class ‘C’ license with a good DMV driving report, and must have current auto insurance coverage
Working Title : Coordinator I
Pay Rate : $18.25- $23.50 per hour (Depending on Relevant Experience)
Position Type : Full-time; Non-exempt
Schedule : Alternative Work Week Schedule – Monday-Thursday 8 : 30am-6 : 00pm, Friday 8 : 30am-1 : 30pm
Other : We conduct assessment testing and post offer background checks
