UC Health is hiring a full-time Dock Specialist, for the central service department for the first shift at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
The Dock Specialist will support the Medical Centers emergency room (ER) and Level III Trauma Center, delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care and according to policy and procedures.

Responsibilities
The primary purpose of the Dock Specialist is to complete all receiving and delivery functions while maintaining a high level of customer service. The Specialist will operate under the direction of the Materials Manager and ensure that all daily work is complete for UCMC Receiving Dock.

Responsibilities
The primary purpose of the Dock Specialist is to complete all receiving and delivery functions while maintaining a high level of customer service. The Specialist will operate under the direction of the Materials Manager and ensure that all daily work is complete for UCMC Receiving Dock.
- Use Lawson system and Mobile Supply Chain handheld scanners to dock log packages in real-time as they are off-loaded from carrier to UCMC receiving dock.
- Transport dock-logged packages into receiving area and stage in appropriate location.
- Must use pallet jack to maneuver skids from the dock apron to receiving location. Use Lawson system and Mobile Supply Chain handhelds to receive packages by reading the packing slip and using shipping information to scan barcode and enter data into system. Must understand product Unit of Measure (UOM) as it relates to Purchase Orders (PO) and receipts.
- Attach corresponding delivery tickets to each package and stage in assigned delivery lane. Use Mobile Supply Chain handhelds to scan all packages to the correct delivery carts and deliver to end-users via a tow-motor or manually pushing/pulling a flatbed cart. Complete delivery process by scanning end-users badges and delivery tickets using Mobile Supply Chain handheld scanners. Must obtain signoff from end-user upon dock pick up or department delivery. All temperature sensitive packages, such as frozen tissue or refrigerated lab supplies, must be immediately delivered to the appropriate requestor.
- Deliveries may require driving the UC Health van to Holmes.
- Transport empty tanks from point-of-use locations back to the receiving dock storage room. Deliver full tanks from receiving dock storage room to point-of-use locations to maintain appropriate quantity.
- Must maintain standards on the dock regarding equipment placement, package flow through appropriate lanes, skid organization Must perform daily 5S related duties as assigned in team rotation
- Must maintain highest levels of customer service while completing miscellaneous tasks to provide for patient care needs | Review the physical demands and assign an overall average percentage of time this position performs these activities.
- Minimum Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum Required: 1 - 2 Years equivalent experience
- Preferred Degree: 3 - 5 Years equivalent experience
