The Inventory Control Specialist I performs inventory function, monitors assess movement, maintains related records and prepares related documents.

Responsibilities
- Performs inventory control functions, including but not limited to PAR level utilization and management, contract compliance, ensuring reliability of procurement and timely distribution of supplies and management of about to expire and expired products.
- Knowledge and understanding of inventory control and ordering process. Tracks inventory of assigned areas on a regular basis. Consistently rotates products using first in first out technique (FIFA), replenishes supplies, and communicates back orders and/or changes on products to department manager and appropriate personnel.
- Prepares documents, maintains records, requisitions and related reports for supplies. Creates and maintains related files.
- Performs all other inventory and miscellaneous duties as directed by the manager.
- Minimum Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum Required: Three months of experience.
- Ability to perform basic math skills and to read and write common vocabulary; at least the courses in inventory control covering three of the following areas: inventory control, production and inventory forecasting, materials requirements planning, accounting systems and internal control, information systems integrated with principles from management, systems theory and data processing to identify supply needs and develop systems to provide information or three months equivalent experience.
