The 30 year company supports the petrochemical and manufacturing industry domestically and internationally and is positioned along the Gulf Coast region, providing training, occupational medicine, and innovative solutions to industry. The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and equipment of buildings and facilities. They supervise the day-to-day workflow of the facilities management team.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to read, talk or hear. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle training equipment and tools, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment

The Facilities Supervisor reports directly to the Facilities Manager. This position does have direct reports.

The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and equipment of buildings and facilities. They supervise the day-to-day workflow of the facilities management team.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules and activities such as inspections and installation
- Coordinate and oversee contractors performing maintenance activities and/or emergency repairs
- Work with Facilities Manager to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards
- Employee must be willing to travel to other company facilities as needed
- Maintain knowledge of existing facilities (utility feeds, electrical distribution, fire alarm panel)
- Communicate proactively with Facilities Manager and other HASC staff members, highlighting issues
- Utilize software to ensure preventative maintenance schedules and practices are adhered to in a timely manner
- Manage incoming facilities requests
- Support maintenance department with planning, scheduling, and execution
- Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals and emergency preparedness procedures
- Maintain day-to-day operations of facilities
- Prepare facilities for changing weather conditions
- Supervise facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors
- Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security, etc.
- Works with Facilities Manager to recommend maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications
- Schedule, maintain, and track transport vehicles
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the retail building and corner building
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD
- Knowledge of the building process and construction principles
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and building codes
- HVAC, electrical & plumbing knowledge
- Experience with access controls & cameras
- Experience with building automation systems
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Project management skills
- Associate’s degree in facilities maintenance, mechanical or civil engineering OR 5 years’ experience in a Facilities/Maintenance supervisor role
