POSITION SUMMARY: Treats neuromusculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory systems to restore function impaired by injury or disease, focusing on pain management and mobility as prescribed by a physician under a physical therapist's direction. Responsible for following the care plan and collaborating with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.

ENVIRONMENT: Clean, well-ventilated, smoke-free; potential exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous chemicals
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Good physical condition; ability to lift and transfer patients and equipment up to 50 lbs.
Minimum Qualifications
- EDUCATION: Associates Degree from Physical Therapist Assistant Program
- CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: Current New Mexico Physical Therapist Assistant licensure & BLS certification
- SKILLS: Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; accountability in assessment and decision-making
- EXPERIENCE: None required
