What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Front Desk Representative position at HEALTH CARE PARTNERS?
Under the direct supervision of the Practice Manager , The Front Desk Representative is responsible for the Dental office day-to-day activities including participating in daily patient care team huddles, answering phones, scheduling appointments, registration of patients, and collection of patient payments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for greeting patients, scheduling patient appointments, ensuring all patient
paperwork is properly completed including demographic and HIPAA forms.
Assist in determine the financial status of patients and their eligibility for health services,
assist patients in accurately completing appropriate forms and documents for the required
information, collect co-pays, obtain authorizations from insurance companies when
necessary, and enter in all patient information and financial information in the computer
system in a timely manner.
Collect and deposit fees according to protocols, prepare and balance daily financial
registers and submit all forms and fees to the accounts department.
Demonstrates the ability to establish and maintain effective, productive relations with coworkers,
supervisors, patients and the public.
Maintains a neat/well organized work area. Responsible for maintaining an adequate
number of supplies.
Attends all in-service training as required.
Always maintains patient confidentiality.
Maintains Center confidentiality and Code of Compliance per policy.
Performs other duties, as assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma/GED
Associates Degree preferred
At least 1 year of experience in a Dental office
