Overview
We are seeking both full & part-time dedicated and skilled EMT-B to join our dynamic team. As an EMT-B, you will play a crucial role in providing emergency medical care to patients in various settings, including hospitals and trauma centers. Your expertise in patient assessment, medication administration, and advanced life support will be essential in ensuring the safety and well-being of those in need.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine the nature and extent of injuries or illnesses.
- Adhere to organizational, MLREMS and NYS DOH Standards for emergency response, patient care, transportation and documentation.
- Perform physical examinations to evaluate patients' conditions effectively.
- Utilize your knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with hospital staff, particularly in Level I Trauma Centers, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Drive emergency vehicles safely and efficiently to transport patients when necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and treatment provided.
Requirements
- Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) is mandatory.
- Willingness to adapt to variable shifts, including long hours and changing conditions in emergency scenarios.
- Strong communication skills; ability to communicated clearly and effectively with patients, colleagues and other emergency personnel.
- Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
- Exhibit compassion and empathy by providing care with understanding and respect for the patients emotional and physical state.
- Previous experience in a hospital or trauma center environment is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure are required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must possess a valid NYS driver's license with a clean driving record.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
