What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Excellence Consultant position at Health Care Service Corporation?
Job Purpose: The position is responsible for the business analysis and process design/implementation for one or more end-to-end processes within SDO; documenting the detailed end-to-end process including its technological underpinnings; supporting operational process owners to modify, monitor, continually improve, and standardize in-scope processes to achieve best-in-class efficiency, timeliness, quality and overall maturity; using analytical methodologies and tools (for example, lean / six-sigma, value stream analysis, failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), scenario analysis, simulations, prototypes), standards and consulting techniques to help functional teams re-imagine new or existing operations; and building road maps and execution plans to achieve the target state.
REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
*Bachelor degree and 2 years of experience in business process and analytical design associated with process improvement projects OR 6 years of experience in business process and analytical design associated with process improvement project.
*Experience in using data and analytics to identify opportunities, and drive improvements.
*Facilitation skills.
*Clear and concise interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
*PC proficiency with Microsoft applications including Access, Excel, Word and Power Point.Preferred Job Qualifications:
PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
*Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma transformation philosophies, principles, tools, and techniques.
*Health insurance experience.
*Service operations experience in Call Center, Claims, etc.
