Echocardiography Sonographer Position Summary
Performs vascular or cardiac ultrasound procedures at a level of competence not requiring supervision of technical detail. Participates in a variety of patient care and technical activities related to the operations of the Cardiovascular Lab. General job duties. Types of procedures required.
complete cardiac echo on adults
Position Requirements:
Ability to read and communicate in the English language.
Minimum of two years college education in the health sciences or paramedical training preferred.
At least one year in the field of non-invasive cardiovascular testing or a graduate of an accredited ultrasound program.
Current registry as a Vascular Sonographer or Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS) preferred.
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)
One Toshiba and three GE echo machines within the department. EPIC and echo images are stored with Change Healthcare.
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required.
ARDMS, BLS
