Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Laboratory Technician
Position Summary:
The Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS/CLS/MT)/Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is responsible for the performance, evaluation and correlation of test procedures and assists in the selection and evaluation of test methods. The MLS/MLT participates in the education and professional development of laboratory personnel, new employees and students and may participate in the performance of routine administrative and non-routine technical functions.
Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Laboratory Technician Position Requirements:
2 year Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT)
or 4 year Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)
or meets one of the eligibility requirements as listed with ASCP for certification as an MLT or MLS

Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Laboratory Technician Benefits
Our team members work at least 36 hours per pay period based on 12-hour shift schedules or at least 37.5 hours for non 12-hour shift schedules and part-time team members working at least 30 hours or more on weekends, only are eligible for benefits.

Entry Level
- The Laboratory is staffed seven days a week, twenty-four hours per day.
- Personnel may be assigned to work mostly one shift or may have a rotational schedule consisting of duty on day, evening and night shifts. Both options may include weekends.
- Rotational coverage of holidays.
- Expected to work overtime and/or additional weekends in times of staffing shortages, emergencies and unexpected increases in workload.
- Expected to respond in the event of a disaster.
