Job Summary:  
Performs variety of microscopic, chemical and bacteriologic tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Performs routine and special laboratory tests in accordance with written requisition of physician. Technologist perform clinical tests in any one or combination of areas of specialization. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analysis, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results
• Maintain records that demonstrate that proficiency testing samples are test in the same manner as patient samples
• Adheres to the laboratory's quality control policies, documents all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed
• Follows the laboratory's established corrective action policies and procedures whenever test systems are not with the laboratory's established acceptable levels of performance
• Must be capable of identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and whether problems must be corrected or immediately notify supervisor, technical consultant, clinical consultant or laboratory director. 

Document all corrective actions taken when test system deviates from the lab's established performance specifications.

Prof. Requirements:

• College degree and ASCP registry or equivalent.
• Language Skills:  Must be fluent in speaking and writing English

Bachelors or Associates Degree preferred with certification as a Medical Technologist and phlebotomy skills, but will train the right candidate with experience. Must be able to work rotating weekends, holidays and be on call.
