Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled PCU/Stepdown or strong Telemetry Nurse to join our team. You will be responsible for monitoring patients' vital signs and providing critical care in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a strong understanding of cardiac rhythms and the ability to respond quickly to changes in patient conditions. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients' heart rates, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and other vital signs using telemetry equipment.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and interpret telemetry readings to identify any abnormalities.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV insertion and venipuncture when necessary.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Requirements
- 2 years of RN experience
- Floating required
- RN's must be able to read strips in conjunction with the telemetry monitor techs that continuously monitor strips
- Previous experience in a medical-surgical, telemetry or stepdown unit needed
- Proficiency in diagnostic evaluation techniques related to cardiac monitoring.
- A good attitude and flexibility; these patients need our help!
