Key Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures by setting up equipment, instruments, and supplies.
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments, suturing, and performing other tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to sterile techniques and protocols.
- Collaborate with anesthesia providers to ensure safe and effective administration of anesthetics.
- Participate in team debriefings to discuss cases, share knowledge, and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in surgical technology or related field.
- Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C).
- At least 2 years of experience as a surgical technologist in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
