The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description The Program Research Specialist I will provide data analytic and management support to the Bureau of Data Analytics, Research, and Evaluation in the Division of Family Health. The incumbent’s primary responsibility will be to serve as a liaison to support the State Systems Development Initiative (SSDI) to build and expand NYS Department of Health data capacity to support the State’s Title V Maternal and Child Health Services. The incumbent will perform data linkage projects including analysis of data related to maternal, infant, and child health topics. The incumbent will serve as a liaison between the Division of Family Health and other areas of the Department of Health to support data initiatives, including the New York state’s Prevention Agenda, Maternal and Child Health (MCH) dashboard, MCH application and reports. The incumbent will also serve as a member of the Division’s research and program evaluation team involving public health surveillance and evaluation for maternal and child health initiatives, including identifying issues related to health outcomes and health disparities.
