The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description Setting up equipment and or modalities with patients. Assistance with treatment on all inpatient units and in OP areas as needed. Follow through on recommendation of treatment team. Completing infection control maintenance tasks. Changing of linens and pick up/drop off dirty linen. Changing and cleaning of wheelchairs and cushions. Performing equipment and treatment area maintenance. Physically assisting group programs, individual treatment sessions and functional activities when a second staff member is needed in order to maintain patient and staff safety. Heavy physical assistance is required. Set up of therapeutic equipment in preparation for therapy sessions. Ordering supplies as needed. Assist in cleaning and maintenance of cushion closet. Updating and verifying patient schedules and other duties as assigned.
The minimum qualifications required for this vacancy. Minimum Qualifications One year of satisfactory experience in the provision of simple treatment and other patient care services under professional supervision. You must pass competencies for this position.PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES: Experience with moving and heavy manual lifting of dependent patients. Must be able to identify basic clinical changes in blood pressure, heart rate and breathing; Experience assisting in patient therapeutic programs, group and individual treatment. Experience in Out Patient setting with patient set up and equipment. Experience assisting SP services with MBS procedures and or set up. Experience performing dependent transfers and dealing with cognitive and behavioral patients. Experience with manual and power wheelchair set up and use. Must be competent in durable medical equipment (DME) adjustment upon vendor delivery (i.e. rolling walkers, manual wheelchairs). Must be competent in management of specialized therapeutic equipment such as standing frame, tilt table, treadmill and therapeutic equipment. Must be able to navigate and interpret computerized scheduling system to relay information to team and patients.
