The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description Setting up equipment for patients. Assistance with treatment in all OP areas, this may include assisting in heavy manual lifting of the patients with therapist. Completing infection control maintenance tasks and continuous cleaning of equipment throughout the day. Changing of linens and pick up/drop off dirty linen. Performing equipment and treatment area readiness for the staff. Assisting individual treatment sessions and functional activities when a second staff member is needed. Ordering supplies as needed. Xeroxing educational materials, home programs. Other assisting of therapy staff as needed and assigned.
The minimum qualifications required for this vacancy. Minimum Qualifications Grade 6:Possession of or ability to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities during the probationary period. Grade 8:One year of satisfactory experience in the provision of simple treatment and other patient care services under professional supervision. You must pass competencies for this position.PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES: Experience with OP programs. Experience identifying basic clinical changes in blood pressure, heart rate and breathing. Experience assisting in therapy sessions. Experience dealing with cognitive and behavioral patients.
