Clark County Rehabilitation and Living Center has an immediate opening for a Staffing Assistant position. Under the direction of the staffing manager, the staffing assistant provides technical staffing and administrative support to the staffing office.
Clark County Rehab & Living Center is a long-term care facility with specialty in Alzheimer’s, dementia, rehabilitation, behavioral and custodial care. Previous experience in long-term care desired, but we will provide training to motivated applicants. Drug screening, caregiver background check, and current WI license required for all selected candidates.
Responsibilities and Duties
Under the direction of the Staffing Manager, the Staffing Assistant provides technical staffing and administrative support to the staffing office.
- The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Maintain and monitors changes in staffing schedules due to vacations, sick calls, etc. Assists in monitoring employee absenteeism & consult with HR regarding FMLA & workman compensation issues, etc.
- Assists in providing attendance data for evaluation of Nursing Services employees.
- Consults with Staffing Manager and DON regarding staffing problems.
- Schedule Nursing Service appointments as required.
- Provide a pleasant and cooperative working environment within Nursing Service.
- Demonstrate good interpersonal & communication skills with all departments.
- Demonstrate an acceptance and concern for residents and respects all resident rights.
- Establish appropriate relationship with supervisors.
- Demonstrate general office skills in an organized professional and confidential manor
- Provide accurate and essential information for the staffing needs of Nursing Services with the Staffing Manager.
- Track and coordinate staff vacation requests.
- Maintain accurate, detailed records and demonstrate good general office skills.
- Meet the physical requirements, uses proper body mechanics and other safety precautions to prevent injury.
- Assists in presenting information when indicated.
- Adapt to change which includes job responsibilities, schedule and context.

Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions
- A high school diploma or its equivalent with a 2 year vocational degree in Human Resources.
- Prior experience in an office setting related to scheduling of staff and personnel functions.
- Individual must be able to maintain detailed records, works well under pressure, and has good interpersonal skills.
Computer and Office Equipment
- Ability to operate a variety of office equipment.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs and advanced in Word and Excel.
Mathematical Ability
- Ability to apply concepts of basic math

Salary: Starting wage for this position is $20.54 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule: Monday- Friday 9AM- 5PM
