What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Medicine Residency Faculty Physician position at Health eCareers?
Northwell Health and the Department of Family Medicine is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine Residency Faculty Physician to join our team at the Family Medicine Residency Program at Plainview Hospital. Among other responsibilities, the Faculty Physician will assist the Program Director and Associate Program Director in the educational curriculum – both inpatient and outpatient. They will ensure the program follows all regulations of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.
Other key responsibilities of the Family Medicine Faculty Physician will include supervising residents, and other trainees, including medical students, caring for patients under the auspices of the Department. They will also coordinate, schedule subspecialty rotations, and coordinate and oversee participation by faculty in the outpatient curriculum.
Plainview Hospital is an acute care, 219-bed community hospital that treats patients with a wide range of medical, surgical and gynecological conditions. We offer a same-day surgery program and are also home to one of the Don Monti Cancer Centers. Our emergency department is staffed by a team of board-certified emergency medicine physicians and certified emergency nurses and technicians 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and offers expanded treatment areas and a fast-track unit. It is also a New York State Department of Health Primary Stroke Center and a recipient of the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With the Guidelines®-Stroke Quality Achievement Award. Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity.
