About The Clinician's Workday
The schedule includes Monday 8 AM to Monday 8 AM inpatient call, with one day of inpatient work, followed by overnight call from home or hotel for a 7-day stretch. The role involves both inpatient and outpatient care, with an average of 12-15 patient consults per day, including new and follow-up visits. The team consists of three nephrologists and three nurse practitioners, with support staff including NPs and nursing. Credentialing typically takes 120 days, though this is an urgent need, and the credentialing department is aware. The hospital requires immunization records, a flu vaccine or declination, and a negative TB or QuantiFERON Gold test within one year of employment. Board certification is required, and the EMR system used is EPIC. Temporary privileges are not granted.
