What are the responsibilities and job description for the NP opening in DC position at Health eCareers?
A Well-established 60-year-old women’s healthcare group in Washington DC recently transitioned from providing OB & GYN services to GYN only.
They have 3 GYN providers and 1 WHNP who is going out on leave in June of 2025, so they are looking for a compassionate, team-oriented APP committed to providing quality patient care. They will consider a WHNP, FNP, or APRN, and are open to considering new grads and experienced practitioners (although some experience is preferred). This group provides care to a well-educated, compliant base and emphasizes quality over quantity which affords a most attractive schedule and an uncommonly attractive work/life balance. The providers will average three 8 to 9-hour days weekly in the office seeing 15 to 20 patients daily. Their responsibilities include the insertion and removal of IUDs and Nexplanon.
If candidates have an interest in performing colposcopies, LEEP procedures, and endometrial biopsies, that would be ideal BUT it is not a requirement. They will consider candidates interested in working FT, PT, or ¾ time, and offer a competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience. They value candidates who are eager to learn, adaptable, and dedicated to providing high-quality care.
Any additional certifications or special skills in women’s health would be a plus. The multidisciplinary team offers ancillary services such as pelvic floor muscle training, phlebotomy, DEXA, MonaLisa Touch, and Nitronox for in-office procedures such as hysteroscopy and LEEP. They work out of 1 state-of-the-art medical office suite located on the campus of a large community-based hospital.
This position allows for a tremendous opportunity for growth within the practice, where you will be part of a strong and collaborative team that provides a full complement of GYN services to patients throughout the District of Columbia, Virginia, and Maryland.
