What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner – Family Medicine/Addiction Medicine position at Health eCareers?
MaineHealth Primary Care - Family Medicine/Addiction Medicine, a department of Stephens Hospital, is currently seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (NP) with interest in working with patients with complex substance use disorders.
Come be a part of our dynamic team of providers, which includes a fellowship trained, board certified addiction medicine physician, a program coordinator, a certified addiction RN, two peer support specialists, a behavioral health clinician and a medical assistant who all work as a coordinated team to serve those members of our community with addiction. This program is unique in that it is embedded in a thriving primary care practice which consists of five family medicine physicians and three family nurse practitioners.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with two years of Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant experience preferred. MSN required.
- License/Certifications:Active Nursing license; certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
- Current BCLS required
- Fully integrated Epic EMR.
