About The Clinician's Workday
The position involves 24-hour in-house shifts, providing coverage for high-risk OB cases, including C-sections and vaginal deliveries. The locum will work alongside residents, who will handle deliveries and round on ante and postpartum patients. The average number of OB patients per day is around 10, with 2 clinic patients and 0-1 hospital patients. The locum will be expected to respond to OB codes and OB traumas. Responsibilities include antepartum rounds, OB triage evaluations, trauma/rapid response attendance, vaginal and C-section deliveries, postpartum rounds, and transport acceptance. The candidate must be OB Hospitalist Board Certified with an active AZ license or IMLC, as well as an active AZ DEA. Coverage will be for one of two hospitals, with the provider covering one at a time.
