UTMB was established in 1891 as the first academic health center in Texas and is a component of the University of Texas System. Today UTMB includes four schools (medicine, nursing, health professions and graduate biomedical sciences), a network of hospitals and clinics that provide a full range of primary and specialized medical care, and numerous research facilities. The Medical School enrolls 230 students per class and 1 in 6 Texas physicians have trained at UTMB. UTMB also provides medical services through our Community Based Clinics (CBC’s) which are located along the I-45 corridor in the cities of: Lake Jackson (Angleton), Clear Lake, Friendswood, League City, Webster, Texas City, and Galveston, Texas.
UTMB Health Pediatric Clinical Faculty Opportunity in Lake Jackson, Texas:
The UTMB CBC’s offer Clinical Faculty opportunities in several communities just south of Houston proper. UTMB Health is actively recruiting a qualified Pediatric physician interested in working in the Angleton/Lake Jackson area. The expectation is to be in clinic treating patients nine half-day sessions per week with one half day per week set aside for administrative duties. Participation in evening and weekend phone call coverage and the attendance of any meetings deemed necessary by the Medical Director. This clinic offers a unique practice experience with exceptional patient care and support. All residents and in-practice physicians are encouraged to apply! The Angleton/Lake Jackson area is in Brazoria County, which is within the Greater Houston metropolitan area. The area is warm and welcoming, offering excellent schools and exceptionally affordable housing.
Preferred Qualifications
Registration with Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA); Certification with American Heart Associate in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) every two years; Administrative experience.
Candidate Requirements
Obtainable RVU Bonus Package
Vacation: 22 days, increased with years of service
