Position Overview
As a Sleep Medicine Physician at Covenant HealthCare, you will have the opportunity to work in a high-quality, 8-bed sleep center with plans for expansion to 10 beds, including specialized rooms for pediatric patients, one of which will be equipped for children with sensory needs. Sleep Center Highlights
- Comprehensive Services: Our sleep center provides a full range of sleep studies and treatments, including:
- Polysomnography (PSG)
- PAP titration
- Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT)
- Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT)
- PAP NAP, iVAPS, ASV, and Inspire studies
- Multidisciplinary Team: Collaborate with a dedicated team of 8 registered sleep technicians, including techs with CCSH and pediatric certifications, plus 2 medical assistants and 1 sleep tech trainee.
- Advanced Education Programs: Work alongside an in-house training program currently pending AASM accreditation, which will support training for new techs locally and potentially from other facilities.
- Innovative Care Programs: Lead initiatives such as the PAP Compliance Clinic, Inpatient Sleep Navigator Program, and monthly Healthy Sleep Support Groups.
- Conduct and interpret comprehensive sleep studies across a broad patient demographic, from pediatric to geriatric patients.
- Lead efforts in patient education, with a strong focus on the impact of sleep disorders on overall health.
- Engage in collaborative care and facilitate direct referrals through our open lab model.
- Mentor and guide sleep technicians through our forthcoming AASM-accredited in-house training program.
- Foster a culture of teamwork and learning, with a commitment to expanding pediatric services and addressing the needs of underserved populations.
