What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Nurse Practitioner position at Health Express NJ?
Family Nurse Practitioner needed for an urgent care/primary care practice with offices in Newton and Stanhope, NJ. We are looking for a Family Nurse Practitioner that is highly motivated, and a great team player. You will see patients of all ages and be performing routine urgent care procedures, suturing, IV insertion, abscess drainage, and interpretation of ECGs. Compensation is based on experience. We are closed on major holidays. Salary based on experience. Prior experience in urgent care, family practice, internal medicine, or emergency medicine is required. DOT examiner certification will be required prior to starting and will be reimbursed if not already obtained.
Duties:
- Perform patient assessments, including medical history review and physical examinations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab results, EKGs, and medical imaging.
- Perform minor surgical procedures, including suturing wounds, injections, wound care, and IV insertion.
- Educate patients on preventive healthcare measures and disease management strategies.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $60.00 - $80.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
