Position Summary
The CVO Database Administrator is fully engaged in the customer experience by effectively implementing the overall alignment and standardization of provider data in Health First’s Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) credentialing/privileging software. The CVO Database Administrator proactively evaluates solutions and performs the functions necessary to meet business goals, technical goals, and end-user needs and serves as the technical liaison between the medical staff/credentialing team and other teams within and outside of the IDN
Primary Accountabilities
- Collaborates with the Information Security Administrator to monitor and maintain a high level of security for the credentialing database as it pertains to access, usage, and remote access, abiding by established and applicable Health First Information Security and HR policies and procedures.
- Educates new associates on the proper and effective use of the credentialing software. Develops and maintains up-to-date user guides for associate education in the credentialing system, as well as guides for users of the external provider hub/portal. Provides guidance and mentoring for the Modern Workplace and other computer-related processes.
- Provides technical and functional support for the creation and management of reporting solutions out of the credentialing software. Supports credentialing software users across the IDN through orientation, education, ongoing assistance, reference and troubleshooting.
- Supports the establishment of data governance and data quality structure to ensure the derived analytics can be trusted. Provides accurate, timely and insightful responses/analysis to stakeholders regarding various ad hoc projects and initiatives. Develops reports to automatically deliver to contacts throughout the IDN with a Bonafide authorization to access such information. Creates on-demand reports for internal users of the credentialing software.
- Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for solutions, ultimately implementing the changes to the system and effectively communicating project status to leadership and stakeholders.
- Translates business requirements into specifications, creating reports from potentially multiple data sources. Identifies, defines and documents business data requirements, technology constraints, and potential limitations of the data gathering techniques.
- Maintains and enhances system knowledge, keeping up-to-date with ever-evolving system changes and ensuring stakeholders are informed.
- Is the Point Of Contact for any user accessing the credentialing/privileging database and for any technical issues within the credentialing software and for work station issues. Identifies and resolves database and end-user environment questions and issues, coordinating with vendor as needed. Resolves all Help Desk tickets assigned to the group.
- Collaborates with other IDN database teams to ensure the continuity of interfaces, ensuring the most current information is available throughout the organization.
- Sets and manages the expectations of both internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborates with entity and department leadership to develop standardized policies and procedures for processes.
Work Experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree.
- Work Experience: Minimum three (3) years of experience working in a credentialing database.
- Experience in lieu of education: Progressive medical staff experience with minimum five (5) years of experience working in a credentialing database.
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Accurate and advanced keyboarding skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and expert user of credentialing software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize and organize work to maximize quality, value, and service.
- Ability to work remotely with willingness to work onsite in multiple locations throughout the IDN.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Majority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, and stooping.
- Long periods of computer time or at workstation.
- Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance.
- May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to moderate noise.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks.
- Workspace may vary from open to confined, onsite, or remote.
- May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle.
