POSITION SUMMARY


The Provider Business Development Representative is responsible for assessing the provider market, developing strategic growth plans, and analyzing business opportunities to support Health First IDN goals. They manage their business portfolio according to agreed market development strategy while working directly with both providers and the IDN executive team.


PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Create, implement, and track annual strategic growth plans to ensure budgeted growth objectives are met in accordance with IDN strategy.
  • Serves as a voice of the customer, assisting with issue resolution, and presenting growth and development recommendations.
  • Presents market trends, provider/consumer feedback to the IDN System leadership (Hospitals, MSO, Service Lines, Outpatient Services, etc.) in order to guide informed strategic decision-making.
  • Evaluate, analyze, and interpret market utilization data for market facilities' service line, ensuring that sales priorities are identified in line with the vision and strategic goals of the Service Line, under the direction of the Business Development Director.
  • Prepare and present monthly sales dashboard, identifying trends, additional business opportunities, and obstacles to retention and new business growth.
  • Participates and/or leads provider related process improvement projects.
  • Complete face-to-face sales meetings with physicians and staff, ensuring that a thorough understanding is gained regarding the physicians' desires and needs.
  • Complete follow-up meetings with physicians, providers, and staff as needed to close business, ensuring that internal and external obstacles to business growth and retention are identified and minimized or eliminated.
  • Manage issues in an objective fact gathering manner to ensure internal constituents receive adequate and appropriate information to act on. Develops appropriate messages on behalf of the organization regarding provider issues.
  • Document contacts, provider visits, issue resolution and market intelligence into CRM.
  • Attend corporate and community events to build relationships with potential and existing customers representing Health First services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Licensure: None required
  • Certification: None required
  • Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of sales
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Research, understand, and explain healthcare services’ volume, utilization, and market data
  • Financial acumen
  • Organized; detail-oriented
  • Communication – oral, auditory and written
  • Presentation/facilitation
  • Problem solving

  • Work Experience: Sales, selling in hospitals and/or directly to physicians
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Review and understand financials and w/RVUs statements
  • Prepare and present executive reports

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Sedentary

  • Occasionally – sit for long period of time, in addition to walk, bend, stoop, stand.
  • Hand-eye coordination close to far distance.
  • May need to move, lift, carry up to a minimum of 10 pounds.
