Work Experience
Health First is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery APP to join the established team of 3 surgeons, 4 PAs, 1 RNFA, and 1 APRN at Holmes Regional Medical Center (HRMC) in Melbourne, FL. The Cardiothoracic APP will be responsible for assisting the CT Surgeons in the medical care and management of patients.
Primary Accountabilities
- Assist with consults, Post Op, discharge, and procedures (temp pacer removals, epicardial wires, chest tube)
- Assist with call coverage.
Work Experience
Current Florida PA or APRN license
- NCCPA certification required for PAs
- Must have a minimum of one (1) year of practical work experience as an APP
- Must hold current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider completion card prior to start date and maintain
- Must live within 30 minutes of hospital (HRMC)
- Familiarity with medical tools and equipment
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Works well independently and as a team member
