POSITION SUMMARY:
To be fully engaged in providing Quality / No Harm, Customer Experience, and Stewardship by: Provides for the selection, delivery, setup and continued maintenance of items of home medical equipment and related supplies. Duties also include providing customer/patient training in the safe and proper use of all delivered equipment and supplies.
Primary Accountabilities
- Provides customer/patients with verbal and written instructions on the safe and proper use of all delivered equipment, including where appropriate, information on cleaning and potentially unsafe and/or harmful situations in the home related to the delivered equipment.
- Performs repairs and/or periodic maintenance on selected items of home medical equipment when such activities can be performed safely and in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines and training criteria.
- Maintains equipment storage, cleaning and repair areas in a neat, orderly, and safe manner, including delivery vehicles.
- Maintains continued competency in the area of home medical equipment by participating in in- services, monthly team meetings, and other educational activities that enhance the home medical equipment knowledge-base.
- Complies with all local, state and federal requirements for DME including JCAHO, OSHA, FDA, DOT, etc.
- Arranges for the pickup and return of all discontinued medical equipment and its replacement into active rental inventory according to established cleaning and maintenance guidelines.
- Assures that all equipment and supplies selected for delivery are clean and in optimum working condition.

Work Experience
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Possesses a valid FL driver’s license; clean state of Florida motor vehicle record and maintain.
- Exhibits effective verbal and written communication skills with particular emphasis on demonstrating equipment usage.
- Applicable criminal background verification.
- Successful completion of a Level II background screening.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to repetitively work, stoop, reach, bend, and crawl.
- Ability to drive extended hours with frequent entering and exiting the vehicle.
